The Sikh Khanda
A carved wood wall art of the Khanda, a symbol of the Sikhs. The double-edged sword at the centre of the symbol represents Sikhs' belief in One God. It signifies truth, strength, freedom, and justice. The circle with no beginning or end around the Khanda symbolizes that God is eternal. The circle or chakra is surrounded by two curved swords called Kirpans. These two swords symbolize the twin concepts of Meeri and Peeri - Temporal and Spiritual authority introduced by Guru Hargobind. They emphasize the equal emphasis that a Sikh must place on spiritual aspirations as well as obligations to society.
This wooden poster is designed by our team of artists and intricately carved into solid wood. Choose from Mahogany, Teak, Birch or Beech.
